Hey! This is my about page. If you want to contact me or send me an e-mail regarding my content, you should either go to my contact page, or send an e-mail to email@example.com, or click on the following link:
The rest of this will be me informing you about my religion, theology, and interpretation of the Bible, as well as some things about me concerning my scientific views and philosophies.
For one, I am a Christian, and I fully believe in the Holy Bible as the Word of God. I should also mention that at one time, I was an Agnostic, but I later returned to Christianity because it was obviously the one true religion.
Furthermore, I’m from Syria. I’ve also been to Syria. I was born in Canada, and live in Canada to this day.
Now, here are a few of my Biblical views. I believe that Jesus is in fact God, I believe in the Trinity, and I believe in the preservation of the Holy Bible somewhere among our many manuscripts (but we have access to the originals nonetheless). I personally use the NRSV translation, although I also enjoy the using the CSB (formerly HCSB), which is one of the 10 most sold translations, and the one I started using after much research concerning which translation is most accurate to the original language of the New Testament (Greek). Sorry, I’m not a KJV onlyist, and to know why, send me an e-mail! Also, the only way you can be saved is by grace through faith in accepting that Jesus Christ, Son of God, died for our sins and rose on the third day, and that salvation is a gift of God (see Ephesians 2:8). Also follow God’s commandments as any faithful in Christ would do.
Now, I do not believe the Earth is 6,000 years old. I believe it is billions of years old. I also believe in evolution (great song about it here) and that the entire primeval history of Genesis (ch. 1-11) is an allegorical account.
Some Christians that I follow, in which provide an amazing defence of God’s existence and Christianity include William Lane Craig, David Wood (and David’s ministry Acts17Apologetics which you should subscribe to on YouTube) as well as Nabeel Qureshi, some of the work of James White and the YouTube channel InspiringPhilosophy. You should also check out some of these guys.
I write a lot about history, however, I don’t have any degrees in history, but I work very hard on research and checking out the scholarly work. I have published an article in the worlds most widely read historical encyclopedia, Ancient History Encyclopedia. My article was on the Book of Amos. You can read my article here.
If I convinced you of Christianity as well, make sure to send me a testimonial to my e-mail. Anyways, this was my About page, hopefully you’ve had a good read learning about my views (and hopefully no negative disagreements).
personal notes: song of deborah (Judges 5), song of the sea/miriam (Exodus 15:1-18), blessing of Moses (Deuteronomy 33:2-27)
Yahweh worship traced to Edom/Midian/Sinai/Seir:
Judges 5:4: “Lord, when you went out from Seir, when you marched from the region of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens poured, the clouds indeed poured water. (Song of Deborah)
Deuteronomy 33:2: He said: The Lord came from Sinai, and dawned from Seir upon us; he shone forth from Mount Paran. With him were myriads of holy ones; at his right, a host of his own. (beginning of the song called the Blessing of Moses)
cf Habakkuk 3:3, 7; Psalm 68:7-8, first two inscriptions mentioning Yahweh (or the shasu of Yahweh) found in Edom, Moses connections to midian, also see Richard E. Friedman The Exodus pp. 131-133), regarding Danae parallel see Christianizing Homer pg. 139
